These are our primary industries, our major existing employers and are central to the future of our island. They have extensive environmental implications and while national decisions may have powerful affects on these industries, we believe there is local action we can take to protect and enhance them.

• Project 1: Research how those involved in these industries may be able to diversify.
  
  
• Project 2: Develop a community owned and run slaughterhouse.

• Project 3: Improve the slipway at Pierowall for the benefit fishermen, tourists and recreational users.
  
  
• Project 4: Implement programme of rabbit control.
